JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager - The Financial Analyst will assist the Sr.
Accounting Manager to ensure accuracy of financial results, support month end and year end close and delivery of finance operation excellence ensure policies and procedures are adhered to and cultivate continuous learning culture.
Role and Responsibilities
- Perform monthend activities, including journal entries, accruals, and bank reconciliation
- Complete balance sheet account analysis and drive discrepancies and issues to solution
- Complete reports and projects in accordance with established policies and guidelines accurately and timely
- Contribute to the implementation of relevant KPIs, dashboard and monitoring tools
- Assist with cash flow projections and weekly cash bridge reports
- Investigate, reconcile, analyze and provide variance explanations to Management Team
- Prepare and develop reports using the Company's financial reporting tools
- Seek continuous enhancement in internal controls over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Crosstrain with other Finance Department staff
- Assist with system implementation and M&A integration
- Adhoc analysis and support as requested by management
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation a must
- Advanced Excel skills is essential, SQL knowledge will be an asset.
- 3+ years of experience in financial/accounting analysis in mediumsized organization. Experience in a Finance/Accounting role in implementing internal controls will be preferred
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- An effective ability to collect, organize, analyze, and circulate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with all levels of the organization, while ensuring progress on issues is clearly communicated
- Selfmotivated with a focus on driving results and strong sense of accountability
- An excellent sense of curiosity, with a desire to understand how processes and transactions are completed
