Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide all aspects of training support including courseware support, database change review, scenario and lesson plan changes, configuration management and assist in standardization
  • Work closely with maintenance support and other training centre support to DND, this includes setting up core lesson plans that will be used as basis for conduct of training and will assist in training customer's initial instructional cadre on the delivered product
  • Provide training expertise during proposal generation process, primarily for helicopter programs
  • Act as Training Expert on other assigned projects related to aircrew training systems
  • Assist in the definition of training solutions in terms of mix of training devices, training media, delivery/management mechanisms and training support organizations
  • Support to marketing for prospective projects

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of military flight training program as a pilot with the Canadian Forces or a NATO nation
  • Experience as a qualified military helicopter pilot, tandem rotor experience an asset
  • Tactical knowledge and knowledge of customer SOPs an asset
  • Experience as a military instructor pilot preferable
  • Experience using synthetic training devices during pilot training and instructional time preferable
  • English written and spoken, French is an asset.
  • MANDATORY: Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or with a valid Work Permit
  • MANDATORY: Must be able to meet the requirements of the Canada Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and in certain cases, ITAR requirements.
  • MANDATORY: Physically able to work in confined spaces
