ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Takes guest orders, delivers food and drinks in a prompt and professional manner
Maintains cash float; Complete daily cashier deposit procedures.
Communicate orders and changes to orders from customers to the kitchen staff.
Assists in the achievement of departmental goals, guest satisfaction, and maintain the hotel's service standards.
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, serviceoriented manner.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
Comply at all times with One King West standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
Ensure that all service trays, station and equipment cleaned and properly set according to property specific standards.
Ensure the break down trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dish room area according to established standards.
Replenish breakfast buffet as needed
Assist colleagues by delivering and refilling beverages, prebussing tables, and promptly resolving any guest requests.
Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services.
Ensure that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of the Canadian Laws and hotel policies.
Be fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures. Follow departmental guidelines on guest safety at all times
Participate in monthly communication meetings, committees, and projects as required.
Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 1year experience serving in a fast paced restaurant
SMART SERVE certified
Excellent communication, and mathematical skills
Good planning and problem solving skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks

RATE:
$ 15.50 plus gratuities

Must be available on weekends/holidays.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time

Part-time hours: 16-24 per week

$15.50 per hour
