Job Summary


A Brief Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Admission Operations, the Admissions Representative is responsible for operational and administrative support of the undergraduate admission process.


Job Description:


What you will do

  • Acts as the first point of contact for the department including handling inquiries.
  • Provides administrative support for the department including scheduling, generating reports, ordering supplies, minute taking, and preparing agendas.
  • Performs accounting and bookkeeping activities including accounts receivable.
  • Coordinates the logistics of events including scheduling sessions, catering and/or room bookings.
  • Attends virtual and inperson events including fairs, convocation, orientation, and/or recruitment or career events.
  • Updates and maintains database and filing systems, including confirming the accuracy of admissions information and student records.
  • Updates and maintains admission and recruitment sections of department website.
  • Updates, maintains, and seeks approval for changes to admission policies and procedures.

Required Education

  • Two-Year Community College Diploma.

Required Experience

  • More than 2 years and up to and including 3 years of experience.
Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Identify new problems and seeks information and input to fully understand the cause.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work processes.
  • Break down concrete issues into parts and synthesizes information succinctly.
  • Respect diversity and promotes inclusion in the workplace.
  • Awareness of relevant legislation, including Employment Equity, Human Rights legislation, Treaties, sexual violence legislation and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and its regulations.
