Safety-Kleen, Canada has an opening for a
Contract
Laboratory Technician in
Breslau, ON. This position is responsible for a wide range of testing on incoming waste, in process oils, finished lubricants and waste water streams. Shifts are 8.5 hours, and include day, evening and weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Prepare and analyze samples according to SOPs.

Analytical methods include but are not limited to:
XRay; Kinematic Viscosity; Flash Point analysis; pH; Karl Fischer, Density, Colour, Pour Point Analysis; PCB/GC and ICP;

  • Input of data from analysis into lab information system database. Completion of all logs and records related to analysis for traceability;
  • QA/QC related to test methods.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or University Degree, preferably in Chemistry;
  • Ability to multitask and strength in attention to detail;
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
