Safety-Kleen, Canada has an opening for a
Contract
Laboratory Technician in
Breslau, ON. This position is responsible for a wide range of testing on incoming waste, in process oils, finished lubricants and waste water streams. Shifts are 8.5 hours, and include day, evening and weekend work.

Responsibilities

Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
Prepare and analyze samples according to SOPs.

Analytical methods include but are not limited to:
XRay; Kinematic Viscosity; Flash Point analysis; pH; Karl Fischer, Density, Colour, Pour Point Analysis; PCB/GC and ICP;

Input of data from analysis into lab information system database. Completion of all logs and records related to analysis for traceability;
QA/QC related to test methods.

Qualifications

College diploma or University Degree, preferably in Chemistry;
Ability to multitask and strength in attention to detail;
Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
