Description

Reporting to the Structures Shop Supervisor, the Structures Technician is responsible for performing aircraft structure repairs, including sheet metal repairs and fabrications.

Responsibilities

Comply with all current approved data: Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, approved drawings and current manuals for repairs and approvals
Identify and report abnormal or unusual occurrences on aircraft defects
Responsible to collect all data, parts and tooling required for the task at hand
Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience

Transport Canada License with an S rating preferred, but will consider someone with an M1 rating
Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
Five years of structural experience on pressurized aircraft preferred
Valid driver's license preferred
Ability to understand engineering drawings is required
Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset

Working Conditions

Physically able to perform all listed job duties
Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
Exposure to chemicals for metal cleaning and painting
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and telephone
Work in a shop environment with full range of movement including, but not limited to, bending, sitting, standing, lifting to a maximum of 50lbs, pushing and pulling daily
Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions
Various shifts at a fast pace in order to meet service level requirements of the airline
