The Vice President, Operations is accountable for strategic and operational excellence in the functions essential to salesforce productivity, including planning, forecasting, reporting, quota setting, and sales process optimization.

This role supports the EVP, International Sales (iSales) in ensuring the overall productivity, effectiveness and revenue growth of the iSales team.

Leading the Operations team, the Vice President, Operations is a trusted advisor and strategic business partner to the regional Sales VPs in the development and execution of key operational processes, in alignment with the strategic initiatives that will position the team for success.


The role collaborates with other functional Operations teams, as well as other corporate leaders, including Engineering, Cloud Service Delivery, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and HR, to promote the alignment of intiatives toward achievement of strategic results.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the EVP, iSales to develop and execute against strategic priorities for the organization.
  • Lead and mentor the Operations team in the design, implementation and management of sales forecasting, planning and budgeting processes, in alignment with strategic targets. Support pipeline management and deal reviews.
  • Partner with regional Sales VPs in developing annual and strategic business plans, as well as organization planning, compensation, budget, quota, headcount, capacity, and territory planning.
  • Define and implement optimal performance measurements and performance management programs required to ensure the sales organization's success; align reporting, training and incentive programs with these performance management priorities.
  • Enable the Sales leadership team with the tools, information, analysis, and recommendations needed to improve strategic and operational effectiveness metrics and business ratios.
  • Support the EVP iSales by coordinating and preparing material, recommendations and execution for a broad range of activities:
  • Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Executive Team Meetings
  • Operational Reviews
  • Corporate events and regional visits
  • Interlock and represent the International Sales team with other functional groups, including Financial Planning & Analysis, Revenue Recognition, Variable Compensation, Deal Desk, Billing Operations, HR, and IT.
  • Partner with senior Sales leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement.
  • Facilitate successful implementation of new programs through the iSales team, in partnership with the VP PMO, including critical focus on leading change.
  • Support deal progression, approvals (A&A) and contracting support, as well as acquisition and integration planning.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business/Finance and/or equivalent experience; accounting designation and/or MBA an asset
  • Minimum of 15 years working in a global, hightech environment, with proven leadership responsibility across multiple geographies
  • Excellent business acumen, exceptional understanding of financial statements and strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • Highly solution orientated, with excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence others
  • Strong leadership and program management skills to lead organization change to effectively meet strategic and tactical goals
  • Proven track record of developing, implementing and driving operational process efficiencies, effective policies and enablement of best practices in alignment with successfully telling the strategic story
  • Excellent ability to engage with complete information (verbal and written) in a clear concise manner; creative thinker
  • Ability to work across multiple silos within the organization and lead crossfunctional teams to successful outcomes, including an ability to address complex situations and transform into actionable plans
  • Exceptional organization skills; flexible and adaptable to timesensitive situations, with a strong ability to balance and prioritize multiple deliverables in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent ability to see and engage in the big picture across multiple programs and teams
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPOint, Outlook, and Word
