How will I impact the business?:
As the Senior Analyst, you will provide technical support to Compensation clients across Canada.

This position directly supports the organization's objective providing a superior level of compensation advice while building their own career within the Compensation practice.


The Senior Analyst will work both independently and with a team to review, analyze, and provide recommendations on Compensation plan designs, with a focus on projects involving pay equity.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and deliver on small to midsize projects, or portions of larger compensation projects
  • Interface and serve as a primary point of contact leading client meetings, calls, and presentations to gather and provide data and information
  • Support assessments and analysis relating to pay equity
  • Conduct job evaluations and provide job description writing, job documentation and evaluation support
  • Deep Excelbased analysis on large and complex data sets to produce findings and observations from data
  • Prepare presentations and reports using Office365 to summarize analysis and observations both graphically and nongraphically
  • Keep your eye on and stay ahead of market trends, ensuring we keep our clients informed and competitive. This will include research on industry trends using publicly available data sources (surveys, proxies, publications, industry association websites) and specialized sources (e.g. Capital IQ) to contribute to industry deliverables and white papers
  • Support internal activities related to the development of the Compensation practice

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Math or other related areas
  • 2+ years of related experience, ideally within the Compensation or Human Resources field
  • A strong understanding of various Compensation Programs
  • Job Evaluation, Market Pricing, Pay Structures, Short Term and Long Term Incentive Design etc.
  • Experience with pay equity legislations is an asset but not required
  • Experience in a consulting environment is an asset but not required
  • Strong analytic and proficient Excel skills, with the ability to analyze, interpret and draw conclusions from data

  • Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation capabilities
  • Strong work ethics with the flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work under tight deadlines or changing client needs
  • Dedicated team player but is also able to work effectively individually
  • Works effectively with internal team as well as with external service providers
