About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our small, driven, Data Collection team as a Field Technician.

In this dynamic role, you will coordinate and execute field operations as we collect three layers of data using drones and other platforms on infrastructure assets worldwide.

Working closely with our third-party data collection partners and clients, your role will be to plan and execute on a successful operation and strengthen relationships with these stakeholders.

You will also be working closely with our Geospatial and Acoustic team members to ensure that data meets specified standards for our analytics teams.

Outside of the field, you will support the team in managing upcoming projects and helping to build workflows and processes that will allow Niricson to scale our operational capacity.

You will also support the Acoustic team in testing and iterating our proprietary non-destructive testing sensor. An ability to communicate and collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders is required.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute field operations.
  • Support our thirdparty data collection partners and/or clients in collecting data.
  • Collect data by operating various drone and sensor platforms.
  • Strengthen relationships with drone partners and clients while in the field.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to aid in the development of equipment and software.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time to support field operations.

Required Qualifications/Components

  • Degree/diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or Surveying.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in project coordination and communicating with project stakeholders (clients, subcontractors, service providers, internal teams).
  • 12+ years' experience in field operations.
  • Strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills in a highpressure environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional awareness.
  • Willingness to work independently and be a selfstarter.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Experience with Surveying, GIS, Remote Sensing, or UAV-based inspections.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment software and hardware issues in the field.
  • Passion for photography with experience in optimizing camera settings for differing environments.
  • Strong external stakeholder interaction skills.
  • Experience working with photogrammetry software.
  • Enthusiasm for drone technology and various data collection methods.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
Starting salary of $55,000 to $65,000 plus hourly-based overtime during fieldwork, in addition to Stock Options and Performance Bonus
