The opportunity

This position is part of a shift rotation team and is responsible for the execution and monitoring of daily banking system processes, the timely production and distribution of reports, ensuring scheduled and ad-hoc daily tasks have been completed as required, daily prep of close of business requirements are completed, run sheets are updated accordingly, overnight running and monitoring of the close of business tasks, and providing first line of incident identification relative to critical production processing services

Areas of focus


CLIENT PILLAR- Provide on-call after-hours operational support for critical production processing services.- Assist in the development of operational guidelines and procedures for the daily tasks and overnight close of business processing.- Execute the testing, implementation, and coordination required for successful project delivery.


SUPPORT PILLAR- Identify opportunities for process improvement through automation techniques including the use of CrushFTP, PowerShell and GAMMA.- Ensure timely processing of Close of Business activities- Actively monitor processes and handle escalation of issues encountered during processing.- Ensure deliverables with 3rd party vendors are completed in a timely fashion.- Set up and verification of batch processing templates for overnight processing.- Verify that all processes from the previous shift operator have been completed and manage any outstanding issues.- Escalate Incidents as they arise to ensure appropriate Management awareness and understanding.- Ensure that all production incidents and anticipated changes are properly captured leveraging ServiceNow and established change management process.- Coordinate and schedule GAMMA release package implementation- Provide support for
CWB's ATMs and Pin Pads including coordinating with stakeholders to resolve issues, facilitate with installation and track each lifecycle.

Successful incumbent

Education- College diploma or a university degree or a minimum of 3 years of equivalent experience.- ITIL Foundation Version 3 or 4 certification is an asset

Professional Experience PowerShell scripting- CrushFTP job management- Terminal Session and command line- Familiarity with ITSM\ITIL methodology and practices


Personal Competencies- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for production processing with a focus on stakeholder dependencies.- Ability to use critical judgement to make decisions and solve problems involving various levels of complexity, ambiguity and risk.- Strong organizational skills with an ability to effectively prioritize.- Good analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
