Our interdisciplinary, international research team integrates diverse perspectives into novel ways of asking research questions, rigorous and youth-engaged methods of knowledge creation, and innovative approaches to knowledge-to-action (KTA).

Our research informs general societal attitudes, community programs and services, clinical interventions, government policies, and even laws.

Duties as a Research Associate include:

  • Conducting complex statistical analysis and interpretation of quantitative data, which includes techniques such as multilevel multigroup modelling, site-level longitudinal effects of population health interventions (SLEPHI), complex samples in SPSS, trend analysis, and psychometric validation of tools. The research associate may also be required to support the development of new analytical methods or statistical approaches.
  • Providing support for the training of research assistant trainees, research centre staff, and postdoctoral fellows in complex statistical analysis.
  • Contributing to manuscripts, which includes reviewing and checking quantitative results.
  • Contributing to scholarly work in one or more thematic research areas identified in the SARAVYC research unit and its research partners.
  • Assisting with knowledge transfer activities such as conference presentations, communityfriendly reports, manuscripts for publication, and website content.

The Research Associate will be located at the School of Nursing SARAVYC research office at Koerner Pavilion, University Hospital, UBC-Vancouver campus so that they can work closely with the Centre's team.

The workspace includes an office, a computer, and other office equipment for accomplishing specific research tasks.
