Summary
Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking a Full-Time Facilities Manager to join our team. The wage range is $55,000 - $60,000.
The Facilities Manager is based out of one of our South Island locations but overseas our 10 locations on Vancouver Island.

Responsibilities
Including but not limited to the following:
- Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priority
- Supervise Facilities staff
- Review, verify, and process facilities related invoices (i.e., service bills, outside labour charges, contractor bills)
- Liaison with landlords and property management on Vancouver Island over building issues and matters requiring attention
- Develop furniture orders and plans, supervise the execution of new space arrangements or rearrangement of existing space
- Coordinate and communicate with contractors providing facilities related services (i.e., Snow removal, cleaners, electrical, plumbing, septic, fire inspections, security)
- Resolve security issues and act as a point of contact with the security company
- Identify and resolve issues related to lighting, recycling and disposal, cleaning and act as a point of contact for outside providers
- Other facilities related responsibilities as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role is an asset
- Valid Driver's license, and ability to travel the island
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including after hours as needed
- Proficiency in MS Office required
- Experience with Mpulse or other Computer maintenance management software preferred
- Ability to problem solve and execute resolution
- Ability to work well both independently and manage a team
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills, and the ability to work well under pressure
- Skilled at leading and motivating people
- Detail orientated with disciplined work habits
- A positive can do attitude is essential
