Job Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, you will effectively plan and schedule routine and non-routine work at the Courtright site.


What you'll do:

  • Work closely with the Operations Coordinator to plan, schedule and implement site work;
  • Develop detailed job plans & obtain cost estimates for assigned work orders;
  • Focus on improving equipment reliability by developing automation of core activities into auto generated work plans
  • Prepare budgets & manage small contracts;
  • Focus will be on planning work orders related to Rotating Equipment, Safety Valves and Contractor support.
  • Obtain a comprehensive knowledge of the plant processes specifically as it relates to scope of work and contractors;
  • Work with Stores, Procurement and Technical Advisors to manage repairable spare parts;
  • Develop an orderly flow of work activity steps to ensure that all planned work is completed efficiently;
  • Work with the Engineering Department to assist with planning & scheduling project work;
  • Work with Procurement, Engineering and outside suppliers as required to order all nonstock parts and materials required to complete any given task;
  • Maintain complete work records, such as Bills of Materials, specification sheets, and quotes within the electronic maintenance management system;
  • Maintain a strong emphasis on safety through safe work practices and procedures in all work activities and extending this focus to all job plans.
  • Ensure that employees and contractors are made aware of any hazards that they may encounter during the execution of planned work
  • Provide strong technical and problem solving skills to meet the needs of the operating units
  • Ensure that all work performed is in accordance with CF standards, site practices, procedures and applicable legislation

Required Skills:


  • Minimum Grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent;
  • 510 years working experience in a planning/scheduling role in an industrial chemical setting;
  • Good understanding of rotating machinery, safety valves and general contractor duties;
  • Must work well independently with strong attention to detail;
  • Must have the ability to work well within deadlines;
  • Work experience using Primavera, P6 is an asset;
  • Experience with SAP, Maximo, Avantis or other similar work management systems is essential.
  • A valid driver's license
