Back in Motion Health Services has a part-time contractor Kinesiologist opportunity to work in our Abbotsford clinic.

Clinical duties include:

Evidencebased assessment and treatment services for clients who have sustained a variety of injuries and conditions, usually with a goal of assisting them to return to work.
Implement, monitor and progress exercise and work simulation programs.
Management of resources, scheduling clients, tracking attendance, ensuring report timeliness and communicating with various stakeholders (insurance company, employer, physician, etc) in conjunction with the team Physiotherapist
Develop structured Gradual Return to Work (GRTW) plans.
Monitor the GRTW plan to facilitate a successful outcome.

Mentoring and training will be provided.

The Kinesiologist will work, at times, independently and at other times will work on a team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists/Counselors, Physicians, and Administrative Staff.

Our goal is to assist clients to return to work and improve their quality of life.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and/or experience in evidence based orthopaedic, concussion, neurological or mental health practice with a strong emphasis on active rehabilitation.
Knowledge of psychosocial aspects of disability.
Travel may be required to other locations in the lower mainland.

Education:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics or equivalent degree.

Memberships & Associations:

Member or eligible for membership with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).
Travel may be required for this position. Ability to drive or access to a vehicle is essential.
