We are excited to be recruiting for aBanquet Captain at our amazing Hotel, Inn at the Forks.
This position will be part time to start, but may lead to full time, depending on hotel business levels and the hours will include days, evenings, and weekends.
Inn at the Forks is a sleek and stylish hotel set in The Forks historic site with guest rooms that feature a modern design, and some suites have waterfront views.
SMITH is a contemporary restaurant featuring locally sourced ingredients, and Riverstone Spa is a full-service spa, both located within the hotel.
The primary function of a Banquet Captain is to oversee all banquet operations, ensuring that all functions held at the hotel receive first class service and that all arrangements are carried out as per the function contracts (BEO) to the satisfaction of the guest and all hotel standards met.
Duties:
- Ensure all rooms are set up and are completed to the BEO specifications and hotel standards.
- Ensure flawless executions of events.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in proper working order.
- Be the lead trainer for All New Hires
- Oversee the Opening/Closing of Events - touchpoint with conveners.
- Closing/Posting of Banquet Bars
- Develop and Ensure Standards as Agreed on with Management are Followed
- Oversee Banquet Staff on the Floor to Ensure Optimum Productivity
- Maintain Inventory of Banquet Smallware's/Furniture/AV
- Knowledgeable in AV Set up - willingness to learn
- Attend BEO Meetings in Absence of Manager
- Liaison with Sales to Ensure Feedback for Events is Shared
- Assist Manager in Department Meetings
- Other Duties as assigned.
What you bring to the table:
- Previous Banquet Supervising Experience (2+ Years)
- Previous Banquet Serving Experience (1-2 Years)
- A positive and hardworking attitude
- High attention to detail and organization
Job Type:

Salary:
$16.00-$16.50 per hour
