Purpose:


The primary responsibility of this position is to support with special projects related to Student Success in the Faculty of Health.


Education:

Must be a current student in their 4th year of study with the Faculty of Health.


Experience:

Previous related work experience will be considered. Experience working with Calumet and Stong Colleges will be considered an asset.


Skills:


  • A commitment to student engagement and learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent technical skills related to communications.
  • Computing competency with basic spreadsheets (Excel), word processing and PowerPoint.
  • Experience managing multiple projects is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in peer leading situations.
  • Knowledge of Survey Monkey and MachForms (or desire to learn) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of York's services and resources for students and of campus life.
  • Experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds/cultures.
  • Demonstrates an eagerness to learn and take on new initiatives.
  • Demonstrates organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work both independently and as a member of a team.
