What YOU Will Do
The holder of this position is a geomatics professional, an expert in measurement who conducts surveys to establish and supervise topographic surveys.
Additionally, they participate in preparing documents related to these surveys, whether for plans or cross-sectional views, and contribute to drafting minutes attesting to the validity of the documents.
The main tasks for this position include:
- Preparing tables and files related to surveying.
- Using electronic equipment to determine specific locations.
- Directing, planning, and supervising topographic surveys.
- Recording different measurements and received data.
- Acting as an expert advisor or consultant in surveying and mapping, providing testimony.
- Managing, analyzing, and displaying data using computer systems, assisted drawings, and design.
- Compiling data and documents.
- Certifying the data from various executed surveys and assuming responsibility for it.
- Supervising and directing the preparation of topographic and hydrographic maps, geodetic networks, as well as photogrammetry work (studies of dams, bridges, etc.).
- Maintaining and upholding standards related to recordkeeping to register minutes (documents kept and signed in the registry).
What YOU Will Bring
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in geomatics;
- Be a member of the OAGQ ''Ordre des arpenteursgéomètres du Québec''.
