This role (Autism Consultant) is assessed as a Roamer position requiring a few days in the office (3 days per week) unless business demands require.


Job Summary:

The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Consultant will support our services across Kinark Autism Services. These services may include our School Support Program, Entry to School program, Group-Based Services and Foundational Family Services.


Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Support the delivery of OAP Foundational Family and Core Clinical services;
  • Consult in the development of effective evidencebased practices for children with ASD in a variety of environments;
  • Identify gaps in services, quality assurance, client experience, marketing, and advertising;
  • Assist in the development of report templates and writing reports;
  • Provide expert Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) clinical and consultative support to school transition teams and families for children transitioning into school as part of the Connections for Students (CFS) initiative;
  • Develop curriculum for new groupbased services, as well as content for parent education sessions;
  • Service development across Foundational Family Services (Brief Behavioural Consultation, Parent Education) and Groups, including piloting, modifying, and delivering new and existing services, both virtually and inperson;
  • Develop resource materials and provide training opportunities to parents and educators supporting children and youth with ASD;
  • Train new facilitators and supervise group service delivery;
  • Direct services will be required in some instances;
  • Some evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in psychology or Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA);
  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification is considered an asset;
  • Minimum three years' experience in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorder;
  • Experience with development and delivery of caregiver education and groups will be considered a strong asset;
  • Experience in the delivery of consultationbased services;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, good problemsolving skills, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment;
  • Excellent computer (MS Office) and presentation skills;
