Welding Technician on the
Afternoon Shift (2:30pm - 10:30pm)
Clover Tool Manufacturing Limited is a Canadian based and owned, privately held company. We specialize in automotive tooling, stampings and assemblies. We are capable of running a number of diverse projects.

Today, Clover Tool operates in over a 175,000 square foot facility providing a full service solution to its customers from prototyping, tooling, R&D work, stamping, assembling and welding to finished product.

Located in Concord (Keele St. and Langstaff)


About the Position:


  • Full time, permanent
  • Full group benefits after 3 months of employment
  • Welding Technician has several years' experience in setup, operation, teaching and programming of robotic, spot and resistance welders
  • Troubleshoot and make adjustments as required

Responsibilities:


  • Instruct and train employees on the safe operation of all welding operations equipment, setup and change over, safety guarding and safe operating practices, product quality method of measure, and the employee responsibility for product quality.
  • Troubleshoot all equipment performance issues in conjunction with Maintenance Technician in a prompt manner.
  • Recommend all process improvements to management, to improve process time and cost improvement methods for both labour and materials.
  • Perform all product destructive testing as required per IPIR, correct all processes as necessary, reporting and recording findings.
  • Perform and required daily welding process parameter checks and inspections to ensure welding process quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance including repairs as instructed by the Welding Supervisor
  • Update and maintain in a secured location all process programs, discs, and records.
  • Maintain inventory of all perishable supplies in a secure, organized, wellidentified manner.
  • Continually review all welding processes to ensure that they are operating safely and efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance replacement/installation of perishable items consumed during welding process.
  • Following and updating of process set up sheets (corrections in conjunction with the supervisor)

Qualifications:


  • Must be able to read, and communicate effectively with strong comprehension skills
  • Able to read and follow, work and set up instructions diligently
  • Must recognize importance of and perform quality control dispensation.
  • Background in manufacturing technology
  • College Technical education considered an asset
  • 1 year related hands on set up and troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to maintain ABB robotic cells MIG and Resistance type welders.
  • Preferred training in welder process control
  • M.I.G welding experience required
  • M.I.G, T.I.G certificate considered an asset

  • Welding: 1 year (preferred)
