VIA Rail Canada Inc. is currently looking for Agents to work from both Ste-Foy station and Gare du Palais Station in Québec City. The Agents will work from both locations and alternate between the Station Service Attendant and Counter Sales Agent positions.
Your definition of giving an excellent customer service is warmly greeting people and answering their needs with diligence, efficiency and heartfelt appreciation for their business.
We share your belief and have built our reputation on providing excellent service, in a safe and secure environment.You will guide passengers in the station or on the platform accordingly and you will also:
- create and modify reservations
- make announcements and provide information on train arrivals, departures as well as delays
- assist passengers with special needs
- perform general janitorial duties in and outside the station
Here are a few other tasks you will be responsible for:
- manipulate baggage, packages or other items such as sports equipment
- operate a motorized vehicle in narrow areas
- load supplies aboard the train
Welcome to people with experience in tourism, hospitality or airline company
Some important details about the job:
WORK LOCATION
You will work from both Gare du Palais Station and Ste-Foy Station.
SCHEDULE
You are available to work on:
- variable schedule including weekends and holidays (with a minimum guarantee of 20 hours).
- possibility of layoff
TRAINING
You will follow a training session starting July 10th, 2023. You must successfully complete the training to obtain the position.
SALARY
between $26.62 and $29.26/hour
Requirements:
You are well-suited for this challenge if you:
- have a strong ability to communicate with a smile, both in English and French
- have a minimum of one year of customer service experience
- possess a valid driver's license
- must be physically able to manipulate, on a repetitive basis, items weighing up to 23kg
