Starting Salary Range:
$60,000 - $65,000 annually (commensurate upon related skills and experience)


Overview:


The Specialist, Mid-Level Giving plays a vital role as a member of a highly collaborative team to drive the continued growth of WWF-Canada.

The individual will provide operational oversight and support to Community Giving's mid-level giving program for donors giving between $1K-$10K annually.


The Specialist will work closely with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure inspiring and effective acquisition, solicitation, and stewardship of mid-level donors.

The Specialist will be responsible for building the mid-level program with support from their supervisor with the aim of growing this key segment.


The role will seek to engage WWF-Canada's donors around conservation issues and inspire fundraising in both the immediate and long-term.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead the execution of comprehensive fundraising campaigns related to midlevel giving, including upgrades, acquisition, reactivation, and retention of midlevel donors.
  • Monitor, track and solicit midlevel donors to support WWF's work by giving unrestricted funds.
  • Manage a portfolio of 1000+ donors/prospects and develop effective fundraising tactics to secure ongoing annual support, cultivate for major gifts, and identify legacy giving potential.
  • Build relationships with a small number of donors directly and create pathways for donors to connect to the organization without needing constant direct relationship management.
  • Manage revenue and expenses for the midlevel program and make recommendations for optimizations based on results.
  • Develop concepts and ideas to build out a series of activities and events for donors to participate in and grow closer to the organization, working alongside various team members to bring it to fruition.
  • Alongside the Manager, Stewardship develop a strategy for reviewing and analyzing data for the midlevel program.
  • Contribute to campaignlevel and programlevel optimizations that increase revenue, cut costs, and improve donor retention.
  • Work alongside the Donor Relations team to support customer service and donations processing as it pertains to the midlevel donors.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to ensure quality donor care, highlighting donors that should be transitioned over to major gifts, as well as donors that should return from major gifts to midlevel.
  • Collaborate with the Direct Marketing team to ensure direct mail packages are purpose built for midlevel donors, and connect to the larger midlevel donor strategy.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on midlevel donor program results against goals and objectives.
  • Work cross functionally across the organization to achieve goals of stewardship and fundraising.

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in fundraising management or marketing,
    _OR_ 2+ years of work experience in fundraising management or marketing.
  • 3+ years of progressive related experience in fundraising and donor stewardship, preferably with midlevel giving.
  • Experience working with both large and small groups of donors and implementing strategies related to midlevel giving.
  • Experience with monitoring and reporting on revenue goals and expense budgets.
  • Knowledge of cross channel marketing and how to communicate with various audiences.
  • Motivated selfstarter who can take initiative and effectively work with others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a professional presence and manner; able to work well with staff, volunteers, and external partners.
  • Understanding of conservation issues in Canada considered an asset.
  • Bilingual in French considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with First Nations Principles of OCAP, BC First Nations Data Governance Initiative, or other similar data sovereignty guidelines an asset.

Other Information:


  • This role will require occasional local or national travel.
  • This role will be required to work occasional evenings or weekends to attend or lead events.
  • This is a hybrid work from home/work from office role that can be based out of any WWF-Canada office
  • Toronto, Montréal, Ottawa, Victoria, St. John's, or Iqaluit. Or the role can be based in Thunder Bay, ON, or Saint John, NB.
