Description

Reporting to the Manager of Student Recruitment, the International Recruitment Initiatives Coordinator provides daily operational support and supervision to the Peer Recruitment Assistant team.

As part of the Student Recruitment leadership team, the Coordinator is responsible for guiding their team in meeting international recruitment objectives by providing leadership, training, and coaching.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Works closely with the Manager of Student Recruitment to operationalize the Recruitment Strategy into activities, events, and priorities
  • Coordinates work assignments, staff schedules for the Peer Recruitment Assistant team
  • Provides operational support to the team while they're engaged in international recruitment activities
  • Coordinates hiring and training process for Peer Recruitment Assistant team members
  • Facilitates ongoing coaching and performance enhancement conversations with Peer Recruitment Assistant team members
  • Acts as a first point of contact for escalations, questions or concerns about any Peer Recruitment Initiatives
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with partners and stakeholders in Schools, Marketing and Communications, Admissions, Student Awards and Financial Aid to ensure smooth and efficient execution of recruitment activities
  • Maintain Agent Portal and Training content on NAIT's website to ensure uptodate information
  • Liaise with recruitment specialists, assistant, and coordinator to support with agent related initiatives, as required
  • Attend and support international recruitment initiatives and projects
  • Recruit, manage, screen, hired, and train NAIT's Agent Network
  • Maintain and update NAIT's Agent Network Database and prepare updates and report internally and externally
  • Participates in strategic planning activities as part of the Student Progression and Registrar leadership team

  • Ability to make sound and timely decisions, even in the absence of complete information
  • Strong organizational skills, and an ability to plan and prioritize work to align with strategic goals
  • Strong ability to effectively handle conflict
  • Ability to develop others through coaching, feedback, and stretch assignments
  • Understanding of unionized working environment and relevant legislation (e.g., FOIP, CASL)
  • A strong understanding of NAIT program offerings, admissions practices and processes
  • Indepth understanding of international recruitment and customer relationship management practices
  • Strong intercultural competencies

Qualifications:


  • Related postsecondary diploma required; Degree preferred
  • Equivalencies may be considered
years experience in a post-secondary environment required
years of experience in post-secondary international recruitment and/or international business development is an asset

  • Supervisory or leadership experience is an asset
  • Fluency in additional languages is an asset
  • A background in working with international agents, peer recruiters, and/or articulation agreements is an asset
  • RISIA or ICCRC license would be an asset
  • Driver's License
  • Valid Passport, in case international travel is required

Remuneration:
$2, $3,409.20 bi-weekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package (classification - Coordinator II).

  • This position is covered by the AUPE (Alberta Union of Provincial Employees) Collective Agreement._
