Production Brewer & Cellar
Dartmouth, NS


Reporting to the Brewmaster, this role will be responsible for producing high quality wort and daily brewhouse and cellar operations - brewing on a 20 BBL, Steam, 3 vessel (MM,LT,BK) DME Brewhouse.


Some of the expectations of this role include:

  • Managing wort production of Spindrift Brewing Co. recipes including core, seasonal and one-off brands;
  • Conducting quality checks, process audits, and monitoring production reports to ensure quality and consistency, performance and record keeping;
  • Following SOPs for quality and safety primarily regarding cleanliness and chemical handling;
  • Performing CIP procedures on the brewhouse, fermenters and brite beer vessels;
  • Yeast handling and processing to insure consistent fermentation;
  • Filtering, transferring and carbonating beer
  • Communicating with other members of the Brewing and Packaging team towards shortterm and longterm production goals.
  • Data entry of inventory and brewing records (EKOS Operating System)
  • Occasional supplementation of the packaging team;
  • Frequent lifting of 25kg.
Previous professional brewing experience is essential. Education in brewing sciences is an asset.
