Our Newfoundland and Labrador Operations are an integrated mining, milling, and processing operation.

Nickel concentrate from the fly-in, fly-out Voisey's Bay operation is shipped to our state-of-art Long Harbour Processing Plant where it is refined into low-carbon and high-purity nickel rounds, cobalt rounds and copper cathodes.

The Opportunity


We are currently looking for individuals with a diverse group of backgrounds to join our
Long Harbour Operations Team in Long Harbour, NL as a Processing Plant Technician (PPT). The shift requirement for this role is a rotating 12-hour shift, for a one (1) year fixed term contract, with strong potential for permanent employment.


In addition to the core work of safely and efficiently operating the plant to produce a quality nickel product, our Technicians take a direct role in continuous improvement for the equipment and processes they use every day.

Technicians are also business partners and are involved in the decisions and actions that keep our business balanced and competitive:
maximizing reliability; reinforcing adherence to health, safety and environmental standards; carrying out administrative functions; and minimizing costs.


Our organizational design is innovative and sees Processing Plant Technicians executing these responsibilities through consensus-based decision-making, evaluating approaches and outcomes based on the needs of the business, the team, and the individual.

In this position, you will:

  • Contribute to the safe production of world class nickel, cobalt & copper;
  • Adhere to procedures, regulations and policies with respect to safety, health and environment;
  • Schedule and coordinate operations, maintenance and other activities throughout the workplace;
  • Flow to the work when required to assure safe, efficient and continuous operation;
  • Be part of a team focused on operational excellence and embrace the challenge to continuously develop by exchanging knowledge and insight with others to become a highperformance team.

About You

  • Minimum requirement of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong social skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to create networks and relationships with stakeholders.

Previous experience in an industrial setting is considered an asset, however, we also appreciate that diversity of thought comes from our differences - and that is what makes us awesome and our Technicians unique
