The Group Account Representative works within a group home and auto sales team to achieve new business targets within budget objectives and increase participation of group members within existing and new group accounts.

The Group Account Representative contributes significantly to meeting the sales and retention goals for the region.


How you will create impact:


  • Develop and make recommendation to the Group Sales Business Development Manager on annual marketing plans for assigned groups.
  • Collect expiry dates and manage activities to generate new business from assigned groups
  • Assist in the execution of marketing activities including booths and distribution of promotional material, monitor the effectiveness of marketing activities and recommend changes.
  • Communicate with the Sales team to increase quotes generated from marketing or promotional activities.
  • Develop client relationships within each assigned group using the current insured as the catalyst.
  • Support the Business Development Manager and the Account Manager in increasing participation at the management/executive level within existing assigned groups.
  • Utilize contact management and scheduling software to track, monitor and analyze results and progress on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Support the Account Management team in new group prospecting activities including research, scheduling and meeting prospects as necessary.

  • You're an effective team player and provide guidance to support the development of your peers.

To join our team:


  • Postsecondary education.
  • Appropriate provincial insurance license or willingness to obtain.
  • Two (2) years experience in the Personal Lines insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance principles and practices and Personal Lines products and policy systems.
  • CIP designation an asset.

  • You are required have your own vehicle, valid driver's license and insurance.
