Purpose of the Position

We have a roster of ongoing major projects here and abroad, record backlog diversified across multiple sectors and duration, and a robust pipeline of future project pursuits.
We are in a strong market position, but we are ultimately aiming higher.
Reporting to the Director, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator will provide oversight to the organization in all areas of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
The Coordinator will provide enterprise-wide guidance to our corporation while building effective working relationships with the broader HR Group as well as managers and employees across our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities of the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Council.
- Facilitate the execution of priorities championed by the five Employee Resource Groups.
- Lead engagement with community groups, organizations and JV teams on their community benefits, social impact, or equity, diversity & inclusion initiatives.
- Conducts sensitive and complex diversity data analysis and create reports and presentations to enable action planning and measure impact of initiatives.
- Write and oversee diversity and inclusionrelated polices/practices as required.
- Experience working in or with First Nations communities is an asset.
- Experience working in or with the U.S. is an asset.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated experience in EDI Program Development or Learning & Development.
- Postsecondary education in Women & Gender Studies, Sociology (i.e. Critical Race Theory, Critical Disability Studies), or Indigenous Studies.
- Maintains current knowledge of practices, theories and research in equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Experience with project management and administering programs.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating learning programs focused on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
- The ability to challenge beliefs and facilitate learning and open dialogue on complex and sensitive topics.
- Expertise in change management strategies and communicating initiatives/programs to varying audiences at all levels.
