Air Transat is transforming its Maintenance Control Center


As part of Air Transat world class Integrated Operation Center, MCC is the focal point of communication for all maintenance activities, it over sees all aspect of Maintenance Operation Control and is the representative of all the Technical Operations departments within the airline.

MCC maintain liaison with production, engineering, planning, QA, flight ops to name a few.


Maintenance Control Center is using the finest of the technological systems to perform their duties and is in the process of incorporating more of these technological systems.

As the Supervisor, Technical Support you will reports to Manager, Maintenance Control Center.

You will be part of the Maintenance Control Center team and you will work our brand-new Integrated Operation Control Center.

You will be responsible to provides Technical Support to Hangar Maintenance, line Maintenance and Maintenance Control Center (MCC). You will help reduce AOG risk and delays by providing a proven and structured problem-solving analysis.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • When extensive troubleshooting is required, in collaboration with Fleet Manager, Reliability Manager and MCC, ensures that the proposed correction is followed to the letter and provides onsite assistance;
  • Monitors, analyzes and provides corrective action on aircraft with malfunctioning systems;
  • If necessary, provides assistance onsite to Line Maintenance personnel to resolve elusive problems that Line Maintenance are having difficulty to fix (may require to fly to the station where the aircraft is located);
  • Produce reports and followup on recurring defects and bring recommendations in their rectification;
  • If necessary, fly with malfunctioning aircraft to observe and gather first hand information related to the problem;
  • On a daily basis, reviews the MEL/ DMI listing and provides help and/or recommendations to fix the problems and reduce the possibility of disruptions;
  • Participates in the monthly Reliability meeting and provides input to improve the fleet reliability and ontime performance;
  • In coordination with the Fleet Managers, prepares technical maintenance tips for the Line Maintenance personnel to advise them with technical information and helpful troubleshooting techniques;
  • Provides "offhour" technical support and is oncall as required;
  • Followsup on parts removals and recertifies as required by the Ship or Shelf Program (SOS).
  • Review and maintain procedures related to technical support.
  • Is the AMOS specialist for all the technical support and MCC related APN

Qualifications:


  • College degree in aircraft maintenance ̧
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • Holder of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) licence on fleet operated by Air Transat (which will have to be maintained valid at all times during employment);
  • Excellent analytical ability
  • Excellent ability with AMOS, Microsoft office 365 or other similar softwares.
  • Above average leadership
  • Ability to organize the work, prioritize, delegate;
  • Ability to developpe procedures and processes to improve the technical support fonctions
  • Excellent communication skills, people and customer oriented;
  • Language skills : French / English (bilingualism), oral and written
  • Selfstarter, cost conscious, has integrity;
  • Able to represent the company in a positive way.
