Description

We are looking for a bookkeeper who has past experience handling trust accounting for law firms in British Columbia, and who has INDEPTH experience with the Trust Accounting Handbook published by the Law Society of British Columbia.


Compensation:

$28 - $32 hourly


Responsibilities:

A non-exhaustive list of tasks to expect is as follows:

  • monthly general and trust reconciliation (on time)
- managing outstanding deposits and receipts
- allocating balances
- correcting entries and double-entries where applicable
- asking questions to designated persons at the firm in order to complete tasks


Qualifications:

- be trained in the use of ESI Law
- experience as a bookkeeper for law firms for at least 3 years
- deep familiarity with trust accounting in British Columbia and in-depth knowledge of the Trust Accounting Handbook published by the Law Society of British Columbia
- ability to add insight into the accounting practices at the firm
