_Catholic Social Services is currently seeking a full time, 40 hours per week, Community Disability Counsellor in EDMONTON to join our St. Augustin team. Providing excellent client-centered care, you are confident, thoughtful, and motivated to achieve success when supporting others in your community_

_This position has a weekly schedule of: _Sun 10-10, Mon/Tue 3-10, Wed/Thurs 2-9**
Job Summary:Supporting adults with various disabilities in group care, you are critical to the personal success of individuals in our care. Skilled with assessment, program planning and implementation, you are a strong advocate for dignity and independence. Assisting with daily living, medical needs, behavioral supports and personal care, you are also an important link to community resources. As our programs operate on a 24 hour basis, shift work is required and may include weekends, depending on the needs of the program.

Education & Qualifications:

Diploma/Degree in Human Services or equivalent
Minimum 1 year experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, behavior, mental health & addictions.
Program development experience is considered an asset
Should have good experience in personal care, as well as lifting.
Vulnerable Sector Check issued by RCMP or City Police
Child Intervention Record Check
Clear and current driver's abstract
A vehicle and valid Class 5 driver's license requirement to transport clients in your personal vehicle
Proof of vehicle insurance showing $2 million liability coverage
