The On-Site Technology Support group in Halifax, NS is looking for an experienced individual, ideally from a professional services background, with 3+ years of relevant experience to join the team and to continue to build their professional skills in an international environment.

This individual will be stationed in Halifax, NS, and must have a driver's license to also provide on site support to the Saint John, and Dieppe offices in New Brunswick.


Job description includes, but is not limited to:

  • Technology support for +/
  • 300 customers
  • Support data & knowledge transfers.
  • Network administration, connecting, cabling.
  • PC/MAC configuration and coordinating maintenance.
  • Printer administration and maintenance.
  • Audio Visual support for endusers (such as videoconference, webcast, MS TEAMS, etc...).
  • Coordinate, track, and maintain inventory
  • Assists others in the technology department, as needed
  • Resolve hardware and software problems for firmstandard hardware/software.
  • Record inquiries, and repair/service requests in ServiceNow.
  • Diagnose problems through research, isolation and resolution steps using automated systems via ServiceNow. Report problems with procedures and make suggestions for improvements. Escalate to or consult with senior staff when a solution is unclear.
  • Enforcing Company's IT policies.
  • Backup remote support for other Eastern cities (Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City, St. John's)

Experience

  • University Degree and/or 35 yrs relevant experience (IT Support, PC config, network and printer support, AV support)
  • Solid English skills, both verbal and written. Bilingualism an asset.
