GardaWorld is the largest provider of aviation services for the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA), offering screening services in 28 airports across Canada.

We are currently recruiting a Quality Lead for the Winnipeg International Airport. This is a full-time temporary position for up to 3 months with the possibility of extension. This is a unionized position and seniority will be strictly followed.

Job Description - Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

Conducting active oversight of the Pre-Board Screening (PBS), Non Passenger Screening (NPS) and Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) operations
Oversee and document compliance with CATSA's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GardaWorld's Quality Management System (QMS)
Collect data to measure SOP compliance and performance
Provide coaching, correction and overall feedback to Screening Officers and Checkpoint Managers
Intervene immediately if parts of the screening process were not completed or if critical aspects of the screening process were performed incorrectly
Assist with the development and tracking of Corrective Action Plans
Assist with breach and unsuccessful infiltration test investigations
Conduct or assist with audits, as requested (CATSA, CGSB, and/or Internal Audits)

Job Requirements:

Must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident as defined in the Immigration Act with an employment authorization document
Ability to obtain a security clearance
No previous criminal background for which a pardon has not been granted
18 years of age or older
Willing and able to work outside regular working hours and able to work shifts
Post-Secondary education in related field or combination of education and work experience
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (i. e. Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
Minimum 3 years' experience in related field
Bilingual (English, French) would be an asset
Certification as a Screening Officer would be an asset
Oversight and/or auditing experience is an asset
A training background is an asset
A valid driver's license

Skill Requirements:

Excellent communication skills; fluent in written and oral English
High level of comfort dealing with a variety of customer interactions/escalations
Highly organized and results driven individual who is able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Ability to work within a structured, highly regulated environment

Professional and detail oriented individual who has a flexible approach to work issues
Easily adaptable to change and must embrace new challenges
Professional demeanour with ability to develop cooperative working relationships in all areas of the business
Ability to work any shift, including weekends

Periodic travel to the Prairie's Class 2 and Class 3 airports to perform QL duties

Interviews and reference checks will be conducted.
Travel may be required for training. Other travel may be requested when assistance is required at other airports.
