What You Will Do:


Reporting to the Legal Counsel, Compliance, responsible for support and administration of the Kinross Global Compliance Program, supporting corporate and regional compliance initiatives and other related activities.


  • Be an advocate and champion of compliance and ethics among personnel for Kinross Gold Corporation ("Kinross" or "the Company").
  • Support the Global Compliance function and manage the implementation, administration and enforcement of Kinross' Code of Business Conduct and Ethics including anticorruption protocols; Whistleblower Policy; and other core policies in place from time to time (collectively, the "Core Policies").
  • Support other functional groups (such as Government Relations, Community Relations, IT, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Security and Supply Chain) and regional / site management teams with their functional / local policy and compliance initiatives, to ensure alignment and consistency with Corporate requirements and objectives, including those of the Global Compliance Program.
  • Provide strategic leadership and riskbased direction in implementing and improving the Company's enterprisewide thirdparty due diligence and monitoring program.
  • Manage and improve the global Kinross thirdparty due diligence process and collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure compliance with all requirements of the Supply Chain Policy regarding due diligence and monitoring.
  • Evaluate Kinross suppliers and other third parties, including on an ongoing monitoringbasis, to ensure that they are credible, ethical and reputable business partners.
  • Assist with the implementation and operation of a thirdparty due diligence system for other global nonsupplier third parties, including for recipients of donation funds by any Kinross operation.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain & Internal Audit on the remediation of compliancerelated gaps, and audit planning and reports to ensure implementation of corrective actions and recommendations.
  • Monitor and analyze financial and procurement data to identify compliance trends, issues and improvement opportunities, and providing recommendations and solutions to improve the Company's thirdparty due diligence and monitoring program.
  • Develop a communication strategy to improve Company employees' understanding/awareness of thirdparty due diligence and monitoring issues.
  • Lead engagement with vendors that support thirdparty due diligence and monitoring processes in collaboration with Supply Chain.
  • Provide and assist with content refresh for live training of employees on Kinross ethics and compliance expectations, including conducting training workshops at various mine sites on topics such as riskbased due diligence, anticorruption and compliance with the Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain an awareness of new legislation, legal and compliance requirements, issues, best practices and trends impacting or relevant to the Company, and identify, recommend and/or support the development and implementation of appropriate action plans in response.
  • Develop strong business partner relationships to facilitate close collaboration with global business and functional leaders such as Supply Chain, Finance/Accounting, as well as within Compliance.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area.
  • 3 or more years of compliance, governance, and ethics experience including involvement in the operation of thirdparty due diligence and monitoring programs with an understanding of applicable sanctions and/or corruption risks as well as the appropria
