Position Description:

The applicant is expected to work independently, conceive, initiate, organize and manage projects in concert with the group leaders.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a necessity as well as the ability to work in a team environment.

Management experience with clinical and pre-clinical studies and logitudinal cohorts is an asset.


Responsibilities:


  • Plan, direct, and conduct specialized research experiments to understand how gutslice tissue respond to different allergens or immune cells
  • Plan, direct, and conduct specialized research experiments to investigate metabolic function of intestine and adipose tissue. In particularr, we are very much interested in studying the dynamic tissue alterations that are induced by nutritional changes such as high calorie diet and intermittent fasting
  • Develop and optimize new singlecell transcriptomics and single cell mass cytometry (or flow cytometry)
  • Collaborate with other members of the Eiwegger and Sung labs, and collaborators to achieve research goals
  • Prepare manuscrips of publication in perrreviewed journals
  • Present research findings at local, national and international conferences

Qualifications:

The position will commence as soon as possible. The initial appointment will be for a one-year term, with potential for annual renewal. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
