The Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME) is a multidisciplinary research community where investigators across engineering, medicine and dentistry collaborate to develop innovative solutions that address global challenges in human health.

Your opportunity:


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Preparing aliquots.
  • Collecting experimental data, verifying results and passing on findings.
  • Following rules and procedural instructions when restocking glassware in laboratories and/or store rooms.
  • Paying close attention to occupational safety precautions.
  • Ordering supplies with approval.
  • Providing orientation to others on work procedures and practices.

Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Life Science, Chemical Engineering or a similar field or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum one year related experience in a laboratory.
  • Experience with PRC, Western blotting.
  • Experience with immunostaining.
  • Experience with flow cytometry and FACS.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Effective communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Mammalian cell culture skills.
  • Knowledge of basic cell and molecular biology.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment; demonstrated initiative and judgment; attention to detail; good laboratory practices.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols.

  • Experience with stem cell culturing
