Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the duties outlined below:_
  • Use the forklift (mainly reach truck
  • Raymond reach lifting device) to dispatch raw materials to production team as per daily production schedules
  • Familiar with export (cross border) shipment for both parcels and skids shipment.
  • Pick orders timely & correctly
  • Assure timely flow of goods
  • Prepare handling of goods
  • Material receipts
  • Ability to process shipments in a correct order
  • Ability to pick & pack orders sturdy & presentable
  • Ability to checkin & put away parts using tablets & scanners
  • Use the computer to input inventory data into the stock management software
  • Use the computer to update documents & input data in the ERP & inventory system
  • Ability to learn & navigate our inventory control system/ shipping system (UPS/ Fedex, etc.
  • Ensures all safety procedures are followed and actively works to improve our safety program
  • Ensures all quality procedures are followed and actively works to improve our quality program
  • Follows all procedures & work instructions
  • Works to maintain a clean & organized working environment (5s)
  • Use all required protective equipment at all times: safety glasses, safety shoes, safety vest, ear protection, gloves, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS -_Experience, Education, Training & Technical Requirements _**- This position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. and to stand for long periods of time.

  • This position requires to hold a valid forklift license & to have extensive experience.
  • The role includes reaching racks that are quite high.
  • Strong forklift driving skills
  • Please note: the manager will request to see your forklift license & will test your driving skills with the reach truck and the counterbalance as part of the hiring process.


  • Good computer skills

  • Prior experience using inventory software, ERP, and / or shipping software is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written) with all levels of supervision.
  • Teamorientated.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Regularly required to stand; walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to push/pull up to 35 pounds.
  • Shift work may be required

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:


  • Manufacturing environment/nonunion
