- Graduate from a recognized Medical Laboratory Program.
- Current professional registration and licensure with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologist of Ontario (CMLTO).
- Minimum of 4 years of current clinical experience related to Medical Laboratory Technology.
- The ability to communicate effectively with all hospital staff.
- Sound knowledge of discipline specific theory, techniques and equipment.
- Organizational skills to perform required duties effectively and efficiently.
- Bachelor of Science or other related discipline.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Quality Management Education/Certification.

Working together to provide outstanding integrated health care to our communities delivering best patient outcomes with exemplary standards and compassion, Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is a multi-site organization that includes Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Site and South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site.
ROLE
The Senior Technologist performs the range of tests and procedures related to their section and/or department. Applies the appropriate application of the principles, theories and techniques of Medical Laboratory Science, so as to ensure accurate test results, which aid the physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Responsible for the daily workload of others and provides technical guidance to assigned staff.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Location(s): Multi-Site, working at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville.
Department: Laboratory
Hours of Work: Must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the OPSEU Paramedical collective agreement.
As a condition of employment, external hires are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital's Occupational Health and Safety department.
