    What This Position is About:

    The Centre of Making Coordinator & Ancillary Services maintains the campus library; organizes and maintains the campus Shirt Shop; orders clothing, art supplies and textbooks; provides technical support, outreach and administrative coordination/oversight of the Centre for Making community makerspace; provides back-up to front line reception; assists with course registrations; promotion; and provides general clerical support for all areas of campus operations; and other duties as required.

    Please note: This position is expected on-site 100% of the time.

    ¿ What We Are Looking For:

  • 2-year Diploma in Marketing, Visual Arts, Design plus other related office, marketing or business administration courses.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant working experience including: Experience in a retail sales or marketing environment along with an understanding of basic library practices and processes would be considered strong experiential assets. Experience supporting and troubleshooting complex technological equipment such as printer hardware (e.g. 3D printer; laser cutter; plotter). General office procedures and experience with specific applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, e-mail, networked windows/environment, complex printer hardware (e.g. 3D printer; laser cutter; plotter). Excellent interpersonal as well as written and verbal communications skills. Comfortable and confident speaking in public. Demonstration of sound customer service behaviours and attributes. Ability to multi-task and work in an environment with frequent interruptions. Ability to learn, understand and adapt new technologies. Ability to prioritize work and be flexible as needs demand. Excellent organizational skills. Ability work well in a collaborative team environment. Ability to handle cash Understanding of common library processes and routines. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
