POSITION TITLE:
IT Project Coordinator


REPORTING TO:
Engineering Manager


SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to fulfill the IT requirements of Company projects and programs.


EDUCATION:


  • Post-Secondary Education
  • Information Technology
  • Project Management Profession (PMP) designation is an asset

RELATED EXPERIENCE:


  • 3+ years managing IT projects/programs, specific to manufacturing.

SKILLS ESSENTIAL:


  • Understanding of various Project Management methodologies and tools and proven ability to effectively tailor them to the needs of projects.
  • Proven experience in delivering complex technologyenabled business projects.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience in managing system integrators and service providers.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills. Ability to act decisively in critical situations and to prevent a potential problem.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:


  • IT Program Management in a manufacturing environment
  • PMP designation

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Is able to deliver projects on time, on budget, while meeting expectations. Create, forecast, monitor and manage IT project budgets, approving payments, providing status and updates
  • Oversee the timely delivery of projects, ensuring compliance with the delivery framework.
  • Interfaces with external organization's, such as system integrators or service providers as it relates to delivery of projects.
  • Provides advanced scheduling and estimating guidance to the managers.
  • Participates in the creation and delivery of status reports to keep other team members up to date.
  • Coordinate handoff of projects at closure, providing training if required
  • Manager IT security risks for each project.
  • Provide guidance to any junior IT team members
