Health Sciences North (HSN) is seeking an innovative leader for the position of MyHSN System Specialist / Product Owner to oversee the implementation and optimization of MyHSN HR Solutions aligned with HSN's Digital Health Strategy, while ensuring compliance with organizational practices, policies, legislation and contractual obligations.

The successful incumbent will provide leadership to the HR Workforce Systems and Solutions team, system users, and support to managers and stakeholders.

KEY FUNCTION:


Act as product owner and oversee the implementation and optimization of MyHSN HR Solutions aligned with HSN's Digital Health Strategy, ensuring compliance with organizational practices, policies, legislation and contractual obligations.

Provide leadership to the HR Workforce Systems and Solutions team and system users, and support to managers and stakeholders.


REPORTING:

Under the general direction of the Manager, People Systems & Analytics.


DUTIES:


  • Develop and maintain HR systems product roadmap in alignment with overall corporate strategy and business/technology requirements.
  • Triage and prioritize enhancement requests that inform release timing and content.
  • Collaborate with the Quality and Testing Lead to plan, oversee, and signoff business testing for new releases, product optimization, and system issues/corrections.
  • Collaborate with the Release Management Lead to plan for new releases and ensure appropriate communication, planning and training occurs to mitigate data risks and system impacts.
  • Oversee continued measurements and realization of benefits, and user adoption/satisfaction.
  • Manage human resources which include: recruitment, selection and training.
  • Lead the HR Workforce Systems and Solution team to support the daily operations and maintenance of the HR systems within MyHSN along with configuration and future optimization.
  • Guide, motivate, monitor and supervise staff, develop standards of performance, evaluate performance, and make recommendations on disciplinary action if required.
  • Provide business Subject Matter Expertise through the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Identify potential system issues, engage appropriate internal stakeholders, and open tickets with vendors.
  • Oversee the product reporting structure and processes.
  • Ensure proper access management, identify potential privacy concerns, and resolve any privacy queries.
  • Work with the Solution Architect to ensure the Business Architecture (e.g. business functions, processes, workflows, reports) is documented and maintained.
  • Ensure standards and processes are in place within HR and in collaboration with other departments (e.g. Finance and IT) to ensure data integrity, mitigate risks, and recommend changes to current and future processes to optimize efficiencies.
