Job Description:


The Middle Office, Trade Capture & Support teams are accountable for ensuring all bilateral based strategies are executed in an effective and efficient manner, from trade booking to maturity/settlement.

The group is cross-asset and provides support for a range of products including but not limited to variance swaps, total return swaps, options, credit default swaps, interest rate swaps and securities lending/borrowing.


Reporting to the Director of Public Markets Middle Office, the Manager of Trade Capture, will be expected to lead the team in delivering on their mandate of accurate & efficient trade capture/booking enrichment and related support.

In addition, the Manager will be expected to lead the team in talent & performance management as well lead the team's pursuit of a best-in-class operating model.


Role-Specific Accountabilities:


  • Lead talent & performance management for a team of high performing individuals including individual and team objective setting
  • Develop & maintain a robust and controlled operating model built on industry best practices
  • Develop & maintain key internal/external stakeholder relationship rooted in partnership and collaboration
  • Represent the team and/or lead various initiatives, both firmwide & team specific, including system upgrades/implementations, new product & activity onboarding, adhoc management requests
  • Compile & maintain a useful suite of metrics/KPIs that can be leveraged to identify trends/themes & opportunities for efficiency gains
  • Ensure team's deliverables are met within prescribed timelines and issues are raised to senior management, where appropriate

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive investment experience and preferably experience within Middle Office and/or trade lifecycle management; direct experience with trade capture, enrichment & support of OTC/bilateral products would be an asset
  • 2+ years of exceptional & demonstrable leadership experience with motivating, apprenticing, or supervising a team while ensuring your own/team's deliverables are met
  • Success with implantation of new processes through analysis, identification of risks & mitigants, and detailed documentation
  • Proven ability to structure communications, both written & verbal, to raise and resolve issues across all levels of the organisation
  • Experience with any of the following: Murex, Simcorp, Bloomberg AIM, Equilend, Traiana, MS Excel (intermediate to advanced knowledge; VBA/Macro building would be an asset), SQL, Python
  • Selfmotivated, agile, and the ability to approach a constantly changing business & environment through innovation and creativity
