Student, New Technology Introduction

Number of Positions: 1


Term:
May 13th to August 23rd, 2024


Schedule: 37.5 hours per week


Location:
Ottawa, CATSA Test Facility (Hybrid)


Salary:
$17.30 to $30.20/hourly rate dependent on level of education


Language Requirement:
English Essential


Summary of responsibilities:


  • Provide support for testing and evaluation activities at the test facility;
  • Provide support for testing and evaluation of holdbaggage screening (HBS) system at airports;
  • Collect and analyze data;
  • Generate test reports;
  • Update the test facility test object and stimulant inventory.

What you need to succeed:


To qualify for the position, you must have:

  • Enrolled in a college diploma or a university degree in the field of engineering, computer science, technology, or in a specialty relevant to the duties of the position;
  • Experience with collecting and organizing data, and writing test procedures and test reports; and
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Professional approach to work;
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, multitask and organize work efficiently;
  • Ability to work well in team, independently and under pressure.

To qualify and to be considered for this employment, you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
  • Be eligible to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance;
  • Be a fulltime or parttime CEGEP, College or University student; and
  • Be returning to fulltime or parttime studies in the next academic year.
