Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk position is responsible for providing efficient and effective clerical support while preparing invoices and statements, reconciling accounts and posting to general ledgers and other accounting records based on standard accounting practices.

The Accounting Clerk position involves organization of received documents such as invoices and expense reports and inter-departmental communication for verification of information and to obtain appropriate approvals.

Performance Expectations

Enter, verify and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare standard entries and accruals based off of organization of information received throughout the month
Prepare interdepartmental communications regarding payables and receivables to obtain necessary approvals to pay invoices.
Various month end duties completed by assigned deadline.
Utilize ERP and SAP systems simultaneously to obtain and process information.
Review accounting discrepancies with appropriate department.
May perform backup for reception as needed.

Credentials

High School Diploma or equivalent general education and work experience.
Working knowledge of computer programs such as word processing, database, spreadsheet, and company ERP system. Ability to interpret accounts for accountants.
