The role
The Market Planning lead is key to achieving not only supply chain targets of service and working capital, but also plays a key role in the company's overall business results.
This role is directly responsible for the execution of the Demand Planning process with a focus on collaborative "bottom-up" planning with sales and marketing.
As the lead for the planning team, this role oversees the supply planning, scheduling and material planning functions and acts as the pivotal communication point for supply and service constraints between SC and the business team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage and monitor the sales impacts through the planning horizon via continuous review and assessment of the demand forecast
- Develop and modify the short
- Lead monthly consensus meetings with the sales teams to align on upcoming promotional forecasts
- Lead the monthly Demand Review Meeting as part of the S&OP process
- Lead weekly supply review meetings with the planning team to discuss inventory projections, production plans, material issues and service impacts
- Communicate the latest demand forecast to planning, logistics and customer service teams following S&OP process
- Work with the planning and customer service teams to ensure stock availability and to develop scenarios to mitigate service disruptions
- Analyze forecast accuracy and bias to identify and implement process enhancements to improve these KPI's
- Manage and monitor obsolete inventory through business waste process
- Project lead for the planning team for all ongoing and new transformational supply chain projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or Business, (preferably Supply Chain, Economics, Logistics)
- Experience leading a team of direct reports
- 35 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning in CPG industry
- SAP IBP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Power BI is an asset
- Excellent communicate and interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence senior leadership
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Proven success creating and leading processes and project teams
