ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Procurement and Risk Manager is a pivotal figure in optimizing procurement practices, mitigating business risk and preserving policy administration.

This role is specifically designed to guide MNBC ministries through a landscape of bid, tender, and procurement opportunities, ensuring a competitive edge in both outbound and inbound procurement strategies.

Central to this position is the administration of procurement policies, fostering economic opportunities for Métis citizens and businesses, and supporting various ministries in their purchasing endeavors.

The Manager is tasked with the strategic oversight of procurement activities, focusing on promoting competition and inclusivity among Métis-owned and indigenous businesses, thereby reinforcing the principles of economic reconciliation.

In addition to procurement responsibilities, the Manager plays a crucial role in managing risks associated with procurement and funding opportunities across the ministries, ensuring alignment with the nation's economic objectives and compliance standards.

This includes conducting business case analyses to support decision-making processes and acting as an agent for the Department of Finance.

By effectively managing procurement risks and providing critical support to the ministries in their purchasing activities, the Procurement and Risk Manager is instrumental in advancing the MNBC's economic development goals and fostering sustainable growth and success within the community.
