Junior Information Analyst, Co-op
Contract:
Temporary (4 months, May-August)
Hours:
Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
Location:
Alberni Office, Vancouver B.C. - Hybrid (1-2 days on-site)
About the role
We are looking for a passionate and motivated team player with strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
Duties of the role may include creating dashboards and reports in Excel, Tableau, or other platforms in a user-friendly manner; analysing, monitoring, managing, and extracting data, ensuring quality and best practice; writing and executing SQL scripts to fulfil data management requirements; presenting data using various formats (charts, graphs, interactive dashboards, written reports, etc.); working with internal partners and collaborating with other analysts to support departmental priorities and initiatives; participating in the internal projects/initiatives; and participating in the development of action plans.
About you
To be successful in this role, you:
- Have recent and relevant experience in data analysis, manipulation, and interpretation. Experience analysing financial data and working within the health sector is an asset.
- Feel comfortable working with the following programs: Tableau, SQL, Python, Excel, R. You will be experienced in working with Microsoft Office Suite productivity software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Develop dynamic working partnerships with multiple stakeholders, all with a variety of interests and priorities. You are a strong communicator, both written and verbally, practicing sensitivity in all types of correspondences and are able to work both independently and on a team.
- Possess the basic technical skills to query data from the data warehouse, then process, analyse, and visualize data with relevant tools.
