This role sits within Laurentian Bank.
Responsibilities
- Create a business development plan to build and maintain a network of clients and grow the mortgage loan portfolio;
- Solicit both existing and potential clients, including real estate investors, real estate agents, mortgage brokers and developers/builders;
- Target client needs and predict how their situation may evolve. Recommend strategies and financing structures adapted to client needs;
- Negotiate loan terms and conditions that meet client needs and the Bank's investment and profitability criteria;
- Ensure and maintain a high level of quality and portfolio performance (profitability and quality);
- Be responsible for business relationship with borrowers and ensure the quality of services offered to clients;
- Record and maintain all information related to customer relationships in CRM Dynamics;
- Work closely with out stakeholders in the business unit, keep abreast of Bank products offered by other business units, and refer transactions that are beyond his/her area of expertise to specialists;
- Ensure the Bank's visibility in the market by representing the organization and promotion the Bank's image in the community, in addition to developing and maintaining business relationships with current and potential clients and influential people;
- Keep up to date with market knowledge and trends, current legislation, policies, processes, and products and services of the Bank;
- Formulate recommendations to improve the work process;
- Ensure full compliance with our service guarantee and organizational values;
- Perform all tasks of similar or general nature requested by his or her superior or required for the job.
Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field and five years experience in a small business financing and/or real estate financing or equivalent with an established financial institution;
- Excellent sales skills;
- Business development and negotiation skills;
- Portfolio management skills;
- Risk control and management;
- Proficient in financial analysis;
- Strong communication skills in French and in English;
- Sensitive to client needs;
- Tactful and diplomatic;
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal;
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows
