Full-Time Maintenance Worker to join their team.

Shift Details:
Weekend availability an asset, 60hrs biweekly

As a new Maintenance Team Member joining our Village Team, you will:

Be comfortable working at heights and with exposure to outside weather conditions and understand the physical expectations of maintenance work
Handle Resident's personal items with care and respect.
Communicate the nature of mechanical problems and possible solutions effectively with mínimal supervision.
Be comfortable lifting 1525 lbs.
Have general knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electricity, hot water heating systems, and air exchange units.
Possess the ability to deal with the fire alarm, sprinkler systems, call system, and other emergency equipment for the Village.
Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
Be willing to work in a fastpaced environment
Have exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team
Support and embrace our residentcentred social culture

It would be an asset, but not required, if our new Maintenance team member has:

Experience working in a Long-Term Care or Retirement Home setting
An awareness and understanding of infection control practices, workplace hazardous materials and chemicals (WHMIS), as well as, all relevant health and safety procedures
Skill in operating common hand and power tools
