This Chair was generously created by the Honourable Paul G. Desmarais in honour of Father Edgar Thivierge, one of his professors at uOttawa.

The Thivierge Chair is the most prestigious one at the Telfer School of Management and includes a generous compensation package and research funds.

Title of Position:
Professor in Strategy and Organization. The rank is commensurate with experience.

Terms:
Tenure-track position.

Duties:
Duties will include in varying proportions: research, teaching and academic service activities.

Teaching activities include:
i) strengthening quality teaching activities; ii) having excellent pedagogical practices and teaching-related scholarly activities; iii) providing an active contribution to increase our graduate programs and interdisciplinarity and iv) supervising graduate students.

Requirements:

Education: Ph.

D. in strategy, organization theory, management, entrepreneurship, or in a related discipline including sociology. Work experience: A high-potential research program as demonstrated by articles published in high-quality and high-impact peer-reviewed journals in Strategy and Organization and related areas.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate a track record of success in attracting competitive research funding and an active engagement in the academic community.

For consideration of the endowed chair, applicants need to have an outstanding portfolio of publications, and experience training and supervising doctoral students.

Salary and Benefits Package:
Salaries are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
