We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and outgoing team player to join our Atlantic Canada team as a Parking Attendant, based at the Dartmouth General Hospital.


WORK SCHEDULE:

Friday (10 AM to 3 PM) and Saturday (9 AM to 5 PM)

Additional hours may be available for those with interest in cross training at other locations.

Access to reliable transportation is required.


JOB DESCRIPTION:


OPERATIONS:

  • Greeting and welcoming guests to the property
  • Explaining parking regulations to guests, and direct guests to various locations on the property
  • Patrol parking lot and issue notices/tickets for violations to parking policy
  • Assisting customers in the use of automated parking equipment, respecting the individual needs of each guest, in person and remotely
  • Making change for customers, operating a Point of Sale terminal
  • Making minor repairs to equipment
  • Cleaning the work area, and parking area as needed, including key sanitization and litter pick up
  • Responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP:

  • Build positive relationships with customers
  • Note the nature of complaints received by customers, and actively help develop and suggest solutions
  • Communicate verbally with customers and clients in English

REQUIREMENTS:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • High level of interpersonal skills, including poise and diplomacy
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Able to work outside in all weather (free uniform provided)
  • A valid Canadian drivers license and clean driving abstract is an asset
