About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Director, Community Wellness Supports the Business and Contracts Manager, Health Promotion is a member of the MHAP leadership team and is accountable to lead all activities related to business operations and contract development and monitoring in the Community Wellness and overall MHAP Portfolio.


This position is responsible to lead self and oversee the business aspects of the portfolio, including multiple contracts that contain a financial component, through the process of development, to implementation, and monitoring over time to enhance governance, accountability, and financial stewardship in the mental health and addiction care system.

The position leads the business planning process for the Community Wellness Supports portfolio and supports business planning for the broader MHAP portfolio.

They develop strong working relationships with the Financial Analytics, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain Operations, Legal Services and other portfolios to support the activities of the position.


The Business and Contracts Manager will help address and build capacity and structure to support our response to the Mass Casualty Commission's final report recommendations, relevant to Mental Health & Addictions program.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Graduate of a post-secondary degree/program in business, health administration or an equivalent combination of training and demonstrated experience with an emphasis on financial management.
  • Master's Degree in a businessrelated field (i.e. MBA), health administration, business administration.
  • Three to five years progressive analytical, contractrelated, and management experience preferably in the health care environment.
  • Demonstrates high degree of independent decisionmaking, selfdirection, motivation, change management knowledge and team building/leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically analyze evidencebased practices to inform strategy development and organizational planning.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Experience in financial planning and experience in project leadership or participation in projects as a professional financial resource.
  • Experience in contract development, including creation of Request for Proposals
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.

Hours:


  • Permanent Full Time position; 75 hours Bi Weekly
  • Travel will be required
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
